Private Mediation
Private mediation is an affordable alternative to litigation. In private mediation, a neutral mediator works with all parties to help them reach voluntary agreements that work for their particular situation. The mediator will not provide the parties with legal advice, however, the parties may have an attorney represent them during the mediation.
Mediation may be used anytime before or after filing of legal papers. As such, courts regularly encourage parties to avoid the expense, time, stress and hostilities of litigation by engaging in an informal dispute resolution process like private mediation. For example, in family law matters, private mediation may be used to resolve all or part of your case, including child custody and visitation issues.
